Two teams earned spots in the 2017 VEX Robotics World Championship, April 19-22 in Louisville, Kentucky. Technical Breakdown qualified by winning the DESIGN Award and Z-Ballers qualified by finishing the day in second place as tournament finalists. Z-Ballers also won the AMAZE Award. St. Mary Catholic High School’s sophomore team, 1200A Syntax Error, brought back the SPORTSMANSHIP Award.
Several teams will also compete in the Create U.S. Open Robotics Championship in Council Bluffs, Iowa, April 6-8, 2017.
