We are following the recommendations as laid out by Winnebago County:
On March 1, 2024, the CDC released updated and simplified recommendations for people
to protect themselves, their families, and their communities from common respiratory
viruses, including COVID-19, flu, and RSV (respiratory syncytial virus).
If you get sick:
- Stay home and away from others.
- Talk with your medical provider about possible testing and treatments to help lessen symptoms and lower the risk of severe illness.
- Return to normal activities when symptoms are improved AND you are fever free for 24 hours without use of a fever reducing medication.
- Return to school after 48-hours without vomiting or diarrhea.
When you resume normal activities, be sensitive to others who may be at high risk for respiratory illness and continue taking prevention steps along with keeping distance from others if you are coughing or sneezing. Wash or sanitize hands frequently. Cover coughs and sneezes. Clean frequently touched surfaces.
