St. Mary Catholic High School and the SMCS STEM Club are hosting a VEX VRC High School Tournament on January 11th, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic High School.  32 area teams will be competing with 10 teams earning spots in the State Competition.  All six of the VEX VRC teams at the school will be competing.

Doors open at 7:00 a.m. with Qualifying Matches starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m.  The Elimination Matches will start around 3:00 p.m. with all awards being given and champions being crowned by about 4:30 p.m.

This year’s robotic challenge is called Tower Takeover with teams earning points for the number of cubes they can stack in their scoring areas.  Seven towers positioned around the field allow teams to multiply the points they earned for each cube in their scoring stack that matches the color of cube or cubes in the towers.

Concessions will be available.
