Recently, twelve SMCHS students and religion teacher Gail Hawley boarded a bus  with other students from around the diocese for a trip to Washington D.C. to participate in the March for Life that took place on Friday, January 27.

They started their journey with a Mass at St. Pius in Appleton, and then ended the night with evening prayer. The next day students served food at a soup kitchen and visited the elderly, and some went to see the Holocaust Museum. The following day they started the day with Mass at St. Matthew’s Cathedral, where an SMCS student did the reading. They also walked to the White House and enjoyed lunch.

On Friday, the group gathered with people from across the nation to speak up for the dignity of life from conception to natural death.

Thank you, Zephyrs, for standing up for human rights and representing our community.
