Adoration

In His last recorded words in Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus promised us, “He would remain with us always” (Mt. 28:20). One of the most profound ways He does so is in the gift of the Eucharist. You can know the peace and radiance of Jesus’ presence in Adoration. Simply sitting quietly before Him, you can let Jesus speak to your heart, ease your burdens and share your joys and concerns. Anyone can participate in Adoration. You can see some of the regular times available at our local parishes here or you can go to Adoration any time, 24/7, at our Twin Cities Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel attached to the back of St. Margaret Mary Parish. Using the Washington Ave parking lot, make your way behind the parish offices and up to the back of the church building. You’ll need an access code to get inside, which you can get by contacting the parish office at (920) 729-4560.

FAST

Fasting in Lent

Long before it was a dieting aid, fasting was a sacred practice for many faith traditions. Catholics recall the fasting of Jesus in the desert. Physically, fasting teaches us to discipline our bodies with self-denial. Spiritually, it reminds us of our dependence on God, and we experience solidarity with those who live in hunger every day. During Lent, individuals may fast from particular luxuries or form better habits. As a community, we abstain from meat on Fridays during Lent (ages 14+), and fast especially on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday (ages 18-59).
