Nine students from South Korea arrived earlier this month to attend the St. Mary Catholic Schools (SMCS) Winter Camp Program at St. Mary Catholic Middle School and St. Mary Catholic High School.

The program immerses international students in English school culture and activities over a four- or six-week program. Students stay with local host families, and outside of the school day, they enjoy extracurricular activities such as a ski trip, NBA game, trip to Chicago, and more.

SMCS has long welcomed international students to SMCHS for academic years as part of international exchange programs, including Global Outreach. This new SMCS Winter Camp Program, in partnership with Central Boarding Academy, expands offerings to shorter term exchange programs and to the middle school grade levels. Students, families, and communities benefit from such cross-cultural and educational opportunities.
