Last week, Miss Hawley’s morality class at SMCHS participated in an immersion experience to find out what it is like to live with a disability. Pairs of students spent two school days on this project, one as a person with a disability and one as a helper to a person with a disability.

Students were fitted with restrictions (e.g. frosted glasses to impair vision) and/or assistive devices to emulate physical challenges.
