Hello, my name is Peter Post. I attended the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse where I completed my Bachelor of Science Degree in 2003 and my Master of Science Degree in 2013. My area of study was in Exercise and Sport Science, and I have teaching licenses in Pre-K through grade 12 in Health Education, Physical Education and Adapted Physical Education.
I teach Health Education and Physical Education classes at St. Mary Catholic High School. These classes include Health Education, Personal Fitness, Individual Sports, Team Sports and Weight Training. I have been involved in Catholic Education since 2005, and I have had the opportunity to teach at elementary, middle and the high school level.
What I enjoy most about St. Mary Catholic Schools is the ability to help our students create a lifestyle that promotes faith, academics and service to others. I also take great pride providing our students with learning experiences that will directly promote their quality and quantity of life. Our graduates will experience high levels of success in all that they take on in life.
Some unique life experiences that I bring to the learning environment are my 8 seasons as a professional water skier and stuntman for Sea World and Six Flags theme parks. I have had the opportunity to travel and live in California, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas and Taiwan while performing shows for thousands of park guests. These experiences make their way into the classroom as I teach students to set goals, develop a work ethic, work respectfully with others and plan for a successful future.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy hiking, biking, swimming and skiing with my wife Colleen and our 3 children Ashton, Gavin and Audra. Our favorite places to travel for these activities are La Crosse, WI, Marquette, MI and Vail, CO.
