The internet is a tremendous source of information as a student plans for his or her future. SMCHS’s guidance department encourages students and their parents to use the following resources in conjunction with regular consultation with the guidance counselor.

College Entrance Exams

  • ACT – Student Site for ACT test information and sign-up
  • SAT – College Board’s SAT website
  • KnowHow2gowisconsin.org was created with a federal grant. Students can study for their ACT and SAT exams for free with tutorials and interactive practice sessions for the two college entrance exams.

Financial Aid

  • FAFSA – Free Application for Federal Student Aid (the official forms)
  • collegegoalwi.org – free assistance with FAFSA form
  • ed.gov – U.S. Department of Education’s financial aid information.

Post-Secondary Education Planning
