St. Mary Catholic High School offers a variety of fine arts opportunity, both as part of the school’s well-rounded curriculum and as co-curricular activities in which students can participate during off-school hours. A fee may be required to participate in some of these programs, but financial assistance is always available. Register online for a fine arts co-curricular activity.

SMCHS Art Club is for students who are passionate about art and would like to participate and spend more time interacting with others with the same interests. The SMCHS Art Club focuses on producing high quality pieces of artwork that will be displayed around the school to help everyone further appreciate the value of fine arts.
The Jazz Ensemble is a premier instrumental group that performs at SMCS concerts and functions outside of school. The SMCSH jazz ensemble can be seen at the Fox Cities Jazz Fest, Seafood Fest, Oktoberfest and various corporate business functions throughout the year. Students perform music from the swing era up to the present, ranging from jazz to rock. Membership is by audition only, and students must be participants in the concert band or have the instructor’s consent to participate in this co-curricular group. Liturgical choir rehearses one Activities period each week to prepare music for liturgies. While traditional music is used, we strive to bring energy to Masses with contemporary selections as well. Singers and instrumentalists are encouraged to join as we praise God, lead our school family in worship, and have fun while doing it! Contact the director for more information.
A combined ensemble comprised of members from the middle school and high school bands, this marching group performs at halftime of the high school homecoming game, as well as parades at homecoming, the Appleton downtown Christmas parade and Neenah-Menasha Memorial Day parade.
Soul Tones Vocal Ensemble
This St. Mary Vocal Ensemble is our show choir that performs at a variety of functions both in and out of school. They sing and dance to variety of music from the classics to pop and everything in between. Any students are welcome to join and do not need to have any prior music knowledge. However, they must be willing to try, do their best, and join an epic team! Contact the director if you have any questions about this stellar ensemble!
Zephyr Players is St. Mary Catholic High School’s ensemble of drama students. The program is for any student interested in experiencing the various aspects of theater, including acting, singing, choreography, directing, stage management, light/sound management and set building. Zephyr Players has the opportunity to share their learned experiences and talents every fall and spring with a productions in our state-of-the-art Jane Bergstrom Fine Arts Education Center.
