Mrs. Patricia Fouts will be leading St. Mary Catholic High School as the new principal. Mrs. Fouts holds a bachelor’s degree in Broad Field Social Studies from UW-LaCrosse, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Marian University, where she earned her Principal certification. Mrs. Fouts also attained an Alternative Education certification from Concordia University. Mrs. Fouts’ previous experience encompasses classroom teaching, curriculum planning and development, post-secondary student planning, student assistance programs, professional learning communities, and school-wide literacy. Most recently, Mrs. Fouts was the Department Head/Teacher for Alternative Education at Hortonville High School, managing staffing, creating incentive programs, supervising student academics and behaviors and collaborating with guidance counselors and administration to meet the academic and social emotional needs of students. She previously worked as a CESA 6 Director at Fox Valley High School in Menasha working with at-risk students and has several years of teaching experience.  Mrs. Fouts, her husband and their two middle-school aged daughters reside in Menasha.

Mr. Peter Post has been promoted to the newly designed position of Associate Principal at the high school. Mr. Post obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education and Physical Education from UW-La Crosse, where he also earned his Master of Science degree in Adapted Physical Education. With 15 years of teaching experience, Mr. Post has taught health and physical education classes at St. Mary Catholic High School for the past 11 years. Mr. Post will continue to teach our high school CAPP Active Lifestyles (UW-Oshkosh) as part of his new responsibilities. A member of the track team coaching staff, Post helped to lead the teams to Conference and Regional Championships. Mr. Post has created many programs for student growth and enrichment, including the development of strength and conditioning programs, initiation of a ski and snowboard club, and implementation of bicycle and XC ski courses in fitness classes. Mr. Post and his wife Colleen (an SMC alumni) have three children attending SMCS middle and elementary schools. Mr. Post is excited to be collaborating with administrators, teachers and families to provide rich learning experiences while leading students toward a successful and enriching future guided by faith, academics and service.

Mrs. Jill Ahles will be the new principal at St. Mary Catholic Middle School, transferring from St. Mary Elementary where she served for four years as a teaching principal. Mrs. Ahles’ previous experience includes one year as a teaching Assistant Principal at St. Gabriel Elementary, and 11 years at the former Seton (middle school), where she taught science, social studies, and religion. Mrs. Ahles has led multiple programs for the system including Project Lead the Way (PLTW), STEM and robotics integration, and project-based learning initiatives. Completing her bachelor’s degree in Education from UW-Oshkosh, Mrs. Ahles earned her Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership and Curriculum Development from Marian University. A lifelong member of St. Mary parish in Menasha, Mrs. Ahles (husband John) and their three children are SMC alumni. Mrs. Ahles is excited to be back in the middle school, and is looking forward to working with the students of this age to help all of them discover their passions and become strong, faith-filled leaders of the community.

Mrs. Sandra Piotrowski has been hired as the new St. Mary Elementary School Principal. Mrs. Piotrowski graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders, specializing in Speech Pathology. She then earned a master’s degree in Special Education and Elementary Education from UW-Oshkosh, and attained her administrator and director of curriculum instruction licenses from Viterbo University. Mrs. Piotrowski taught for the Menasha Joint School District for 16 years as a special education teacher, then went on to be principal at Most Precious Blood Catholic School for the last two years. Mrs. Piotrowski and her husband Dan both attended Catholic schools, and they feel blessed to have their three daughters do the same. This year they will have a daughter in our high school, middle school, and St. Mary Elementary school. Mrs. Piotroswki believes that our schools are special because they are child-centered, safe, nurturing, loving and caring places for our young learners.

These four individuals will be part of the administrative team which includes Mr. Patrick Batey, Director of Educational Services, Mrs. Jeanine Leege, St. Gabriel Elementary Principal, and Mrs. Kristina Fairweather, St. Margaret Mary Elementary Principal.

Each of these educators, whether new to SMCS or beginning a new position within the system, is excited to progressively move ahead to invigorate St. Mary Catholic Schools’ commitment to educating and inspiring our community leaders of tomorrow.
