Tuition Assistance Application

Applications for tuition assistance must be completed prior to the specified date for the upcoming school year in order to be guaranteed to be considered for assistance. The application deadline for the 2017-18 school year was February 10, 2017. However, applications may still be considered. To inquire, please contact Shelley Wautlet in the business office.

The 2018-2019 assistance application period will open in January.

Wisconsin Parental Choice Program

SMCS participates in the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP). This is an excellent opportunity for families who may have believed that an outstanding, faith-based education was beyond their reach.  WPCP provides the chance for students whose families meet the income requirements and who are selected, to attend SMCS at no charge.  The application process takes place in the spring for the following school year. Once a student is admitted to the program, the “voucher” follows the student through grade 12. Visit the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI website) for details, instructions and a link to the application. The link to the application for the 2017-18 school year is now closed.

Parochial School Tax Deduction

Parents in Wisconsin with a child in a parochial school can receive a tax deduction for K-12 tuition. Click here for detailed information about this opportunity.  A Wisconsin Tax Form PS must be filed with your Wisconsin income taxes to receive this deduction. Click here for instructions and a PS form with SMCS information completed, which you may print out and use with your taxes, or as a template for completing your form.   The required FEIN # is 39-1656963.

SMCS has designated  Scrip as a fundraiser that families can participate in year round to earn credit towards their tuition.  Fundraising income is important to both SMCS and our families who rely on the credits to assist with their tuition fees.

Host an International Student

There is a $575 monthly stipend and a pro-rated $1,000 tuition credit (for current SMCS families) associated with hosting an international student. See INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS under ADMISSIONS for details.
